FAQ

HOW MANY CATS HAVE YOU FOSTERED?

140 and counting.  Some only stayed with us for a few days, but all the cats listed on the website were with us long enough for us to get to know them.  Some for only a week or two, but most for at least a month.

ARE YOU AWARE THAT YOU'RE CRAZY?  DO YOU WANT HELP?

Yep.  And no thanks, we're good!

SHOULD I THINK ABOUT FOSTERING?

Definitely.  Many rescue groups and shelters depend on foster networks to function.  It's a great way to help out, and it's a very rewarding experience.

DO YOU ACCEPT DONATIONS?

Feel free to donate to our rescue organization!  We foster with (and volunteer for) City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue.

WHAT HAPPENED TO BOP'S EYES?

He was born with microphthalmia, eyes that never properly developed.  He was blind from birth, and his eyes were surgically removed when they got infected.

It took Bop some time to get used to our house when he first arrived, but it's truly amazing how well he compensates for his lack of sight.

WHAT ABOUT BOOP'S EYES?

Boop was born without normal eyelids, so his eyes couldn't close completely and he had hairs growing inward causing pain and corneal scarring.  He needed several surgeries to create functional eyelids.  These were very successful and made him much more comfortable, but his eyes still look a bit unusual.
